Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you want to know about massage, sound healing and my practice — from your first visit to booking and payment.
Choosing your treatment
I offer several styles, all with a holistic approach. On the mat I work fully clothed with pressure points and stretches — a blend of Thai Yoga and Shiatsu. On the table I use oil with techniques from Lomi Lomi, Deep Tissue and Sports Massage. The Signature Session combines massage with Sound Healing and Reiki.
Not sure which to choose? Share your wishes with me and I'll give you a personal recommendation. Before every session we always talk through which approach suits you best.
It depends on your goal. 30–45 minutes is ideal for targeted work on, say, the neck and shoulders. 60–75 minutes gives space for maintenance or deeper work on one area. 90–120 minutes is a full-body massage with time to really let go. 180 minutes and above are the Signature Sessions — extended massage followed by sound healing and Reiki.
Tip: it takes around 45 minutes for your nervous system to fully unwind. If you want a genuinely deep experience, book longer than an hour. My pricing is value-driven: the longer you book, the better the rate per minute.
Yes! Unlike spas where you often only get 50 minutes of actual treatment, I never schedule clients back to back. For every appointment I block an extra 20 minutes: for arrival, a cup of tea, a brief chat, and time to ease back into the world afterwards.
On your first visit we'll take a little extra time for the intake form.
It varies from person to person. For regular maintenance, once every 3–6 weeks works well. If you want to address a specific complaint, it's better to come more frequently at first and gradually taper off. After your first session I can give you a personal recommendation.
I offer multi-session packages that save you up to 15% per session — ideal as part of a treatment plan.
Clients of all ages and backgrounds. From a 9-year-old who wanted a sound healing as a birthday gift, to a lady in her 80s who loved lomi lomi. Parents who need a moment of quiet, athletes recovering from training, managers dealing with burnout, students after exam season, office workers with aches from sitting all day.
I'm proud to have a very international clientele — people travel from across the country and abroad for a session.
Your first visit
We start with a cup of tea and a conversation. I give you space to arrive and to share what's brought you here — your complaints, wishes, or simply your story. Together we put together a treatment tailored to you.
During the session, real-time feedback matters: feel free to speak up if anything isn't right, so I can adjust straight away. Afterwards there's time to rest on the table or mat and let the experience settle.
A relaxing massage shouldn't be painful. There's a difference between 'good sore' and 'ouch, stop' — a good massage always stays in the first category. The most effective deep work happens with your body, not against it.
If the pressure is too much, say so straight away and I'll adjust. After a deep massage you may feel some muscle soreness the next day, similar to a good workout.
That's entirely up to you. For Thai Yoga and Shiatsu on the mat you stay fully clothed — wear something comfortable that you can stretch in. For sound healing and Reiki you can also stay dressed.
For table treatments with oil, you undress to your own level of comfort. Only the area being worked on is uncovered; everything else stays draped. With Lomi Lomi the whole body is oiled, but your genitals remain covered at all times.
